New Jersey’s Outpatient Detox - Access Addiction Treatment from Home

At the Center for Network Therapy, we provide outpatient detox and addiction treatment programs across New Jersey. Our centers in Middlesex, West Orange, and Freehold offer medical care and support that lets you recover while continuing with your daily life.

Whether the patient is a homemaker, a single parent, a student, a nurse, a teacher, a cop, a lawyer, a physician, a business person, or other professional, it is difficult to take “forced” time off in order to access addiction treatment. Consequently, many people suffering from addiction choose to postpone treatment to a more “convenient” time, which leads them deeper into addiction and further complicates their lives. Also, inpatient addiction treatment can be anxiety provoking, as patients are almost always stressed about how their family is coping during their absence, resulting in less-than-optimal treatment participation.

While Outpatient Detox is usually the the most acute phase of addiction treatment, CNT also offers step-down levels of care such as Partial Care and IOP programs at all 3 of our New Jersey locations – Middlesex, West Orange, and Freehold. We also accept direct admits to Partial Care and IOP programs.

CNT’s Outpatient Detox

Relief Within an Hour from Alcohol Withdrawal, Opiate Withdrawal, Benzo Withdrawal, Anesthetic Withdrawal & Stimulant Withdrawal

CNT’s Outpatient Detox is structured to provide immediate relief from alcohol withdrawal, opiate withdrawal, benzo withdrawal, stimulant withdrawal and anesthetic withdrawal. The patient always meets with the nurse first in order to receive meds to address withdrawal symptoms as quickly as possible. CNT stocks detoxification meds such as Buprenorphine, Suboxone, Subutex, Clonidine, Ativan, Librium, Valium, etc. and administers it immediately after evaluation, alleviating withdrawal symptoms instantly. We are open 7-days a week, and we can provide immediate relief from alcohol withdrawal, opiate withdrawal, benzo withdrawal, stimulant withdrawal & anesthetic withdrawal if the patient comes in before noon.

Access to immediate withdrawal relief is key to capturing the window of opportunity when the person suffering from addiction is willing to enter treatment, Withdrawal from opiates, alcohol, benzos or anaesthetics is usually excruciating, and alcohol withdrawal and benzo withdrawal bring the additional risk of seizures, or even stroke. Inability to find immediate relief from withdrawal can lead the person suffering from addiction back to his/her substance of choice, often at higher doses in order to find relief, increasing risk of overdose.

Outpatient Detox – Most Effective Alcohol Rehab and Drug Rehab in New Jersey

Our outpatient alcohol detox program provides supervised medical care to help manage withdrawal symptoms without requiring you to stay overnight. This approach lets you maintain your daily schedule while receiving treatment for alcohol dependence. Our alcohol treatment programs in NJ include:

  • > Medical supervision during withdrawal
  • > Individual counseling sessions
  • > Group therapy support
  • > Family therapy
  • > Ongoing recovery planning

New Jersey residents suffering from addiction and needing alcohol detox, benzo detox, opiate detox, stimulant detox or anesthetic detox, now have a more effective and safe alternative to inpatient detoxification: Outpatient Detox. CNT provides Outpatient Detox from all substances and has been recognized by ASAM for proving this level of care to be safe and effective.

Outpatient Detox aligns with the disease model of addiction in that it treats addiction on an outpatient basis like other chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. Treating addiction on an outpatient basis reduces stigma associated with the disease. Inpatient addiction treatment increases stigma, as it sends the signal that addiction is a behavioral problem or a moral issue that needs “isolation” and “correction” in a restrictive environment.

CNT has been providing Outpatient Detox since 2013 and Outpatient Detox delivers better results relative to Inpatient Detox. Firstly, health insurance companies authorize longer length of stay in Outpatient Detox, which allows smoother titration of medications as per individual needs, vastly increasing patient comfort. Also, when patients are in the Outpatient Detox level of care, they go home at the end of each day and they can put into practice coping skills and relapse prevention techniques learnt in treatment. They are able to come back the next day and discuss what worked and what did not work and make adjustments. Als, in our view, the advent of myriad medications, such as Keppra, Naltrexone, Suboxone, etc. has helped mitigate risk from continued use and made Inpatient Detoxification redundant.

Low, or No Cost Treatment – In-Network with Private Health Insurance

CNT has been credentialed by most private health insurance providers and Medicaid to provide substance use disorder treatment. Most health insurance plans cover addiction treatment in full,
reducing the cost of treatment to zero for patients. When deductibles and co-pays apply, they are the lowest possible, as CNT is in-network (contracted to provide addiction services) with most
major health insurance providers and CNT accepts EPO, HMO and PPO plans – Aetna, Anthem Health, Cigna, Empire Health, Horizon BCBS, MagnaCare, Optum, Oscar, Oxford, United HealthCare, QualCare and others. CNT is also licensed to provide all levels of care for treating
addiction by the state of New Jersey.
